01 - Having fun with Charcoal Brushes in Photoshop

General / 24 August 2020

I'm practicing drawing human anatomy with Proko.com using these charcoal brushes from Kyle Webster because I love the traditional look and feel of them so much.

I started my drawing journey on papers and sketchbook before moving to drawing with Cintiq and Photoshop. That's why I still love and wish to bring the traditional look and feel to my work. Thus, I have been super excited with the end results that these brushes have brought so far.

These brushes are free to download for Adobe subscribers only. I am using Photoshop via the Photography Plan, so whenever, Kyle releases a new brush set, I can download absolutely for free. When you click on Get more brushes, you will then only need to sign in using your active Adobe account to download brushes.

I didn't know about this at all, so I bought lots of brushes elsewhere even though I was having an active Adobe subscription back then.

This is the first time I write a blog to share my thoughts and some experiences I have picked up along the way, the easy as well as the hard way. So, I hope you find this information useful.

Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day, fellow artists!
